Billy Ray Cyrus has found his baby mama: Joey Lauren Adams has been cast in CMT’s Cyrus-fronted comedy Still The King, the network announced on Thursday.

The Chasing Amy alum will play Debbie, a volatile single mother who lives with her unemployed younger boyfriend and 15-year-old daughter, Charlotte. Cyrus stars as Vernon Brown, a disgraced one-country-hit wonder who winds up as the second-best Elvis impersonator in Laughlin, Nevada. After drunkenly crashing into a church near Nashville, he is sentenced to perform community service and impersonates the congregation’s new minister, only to find out that he has a daughter, Charlotte, who was conceived during a one-night stand with Debbie.

Adams, who also starred in Dazed and Confused and Mallrats, appeared last month on Grey’s Anatomy. She also recently guest-starred in multiple episodes of Switched at Birth.

Still The King will debut next year.
