J.K. Rowling to give first on-air interview as Robert Galbraith
It didn’t take long for fans to parse out that Robert Galbraith, the author of the successful series of crime novels centered around Cormoran Strike, was actually J.K. Rowling by a different name. Rowling has since playfully acknowledged her Galbraith identity, but on Nov. 2 she will finally give her first on-air interview as her alter ego.
Rowling will appear on British radio host Simon Mayo’s Drivetime to discuss the latest Galbraith novel, Career of Evil. According The Guardian, Rowling and Mayo will discuss why she chose to write as Galbraith. Expect, perhaps, an audio version of Stephen King’s “Why I Was Bachman” essay. Mayo will also read five reviews of Career of Evil submitted by listeners as part of Radio 2’s Book Club.
