With prophecies, ghosts, and a terrifying demon named Toby, get ready for a few nightmares. The final installment in the Paranormal Activity franchise is taking audiences beyond the known world in The Ghost Dimension.

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension follows a young couple who discovers an old camera and footage left behind by their home’s previous owners. But their daughter, Leila, is soon haunted by things that only she — and this mysterious camera — can see. It’s revealed that Leila could be part of some prophecy, so to say that this family is in over their heads might be an understatement.

Paramount’s 3-D frightfest arrives in theaters on Oct. 23, just in time for Halloween. But fans won’t have to wait long to see it at home — the studio struck a deal with AMC Theatres and Cineplex Entertainment to release the film to VOD just 17 days after it leaves theaters (as opposed to the typical 90-day window). As a result, some theater chains are refusing to book the film at all, according to The Wrap.
