During the Democratic debate Tuesday night, Sheryl Crow was the only person who united all the candidates. Before the debate started, Crow sang the national anthem, while all the presidential hopefuls stood behind her, hands over hearts.

Crow is publicly a Democrat, and told CNN before the debate that she wanted to listen to what the candidates had to say. “I think most people know that I’m a Democrat. I’m fascinated with the process and I’m going to be excited to actually be there when our candidates debate,” she said. Check out her beautiful rendition of the “Star-Spangled Banner.”
