Twin Peaks: Peter Sarsgaard says he won't be in the revival after all

It was reported earlier this month that Peter Sarsgaard would appear in David Lynch’s upcoming Twin Peaks revival, but the actor shut down those rumors during an episode of EW Morning Live.

“I’m not doing Twin Peaks,” he told host Jessica Shaw. “But it certainly was a rumor that was not founded on nothing.”

As Sarsgaard told Shaw, however, he is a fan of the cult series. “I would love to be in Twin Peaks,” he said. “I watched them all, I think twice.”

He’ll have to wait some time to watch the new season, though: It’s not set to debut on Showtime until 2017. Hear the full clip from the interview below, and see Sarsgaard in Experimenter when it arrives in limited release and VOD Oct. 16.
