EastEnders star Adam Croasdell has been tapped to play Hook’s father on Once Upon a Time, EW has learned exclusively.

Details on his role are being kept under wraps, but executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis recently announced his arrival at NYCC, where they divulged that an episode prior to the show’s winter break would delve into Hook’s (Colin O’Donoghue) past.

The only thing we know about Hook’s father so far is that he abandoned his son. Just a shot in the dark, but with Hook’s real name being Killian Jones, maybe his father is Davy Jones?

Croasdell’s other credits include Supernatural, Body of Proof and Nikita.

Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
