Spider-Woman

Move over, Peter Parker: it’s the ladies’ time to shine. Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew), Spider-Gwen (Gwen Stacey) and Silk (Cindy Moon) are joining forces for a crossover event, Marvel has announced. And it’s a story so big, it will be helmed by three prominent Spider-Verse writers: Jason Latour (Spider-Gwen), Robbie Thompson (Silk), and Dennis Hopeless (Spider-Woman).

According to a press release from Marvel, the new story will take the trio “down a path that will forever change who they are and how they think of their corners of the Spider-Verse.” The three superheroes are stranded in Gwen’s world while doppelgängers bring chaos and terror to their city.

“I think what’s intriguing about the three of them is that they’re really just getting to know one another,” Latour said in a statement. “But as far as the initial dynamic — Jessica is definitely the big sister who’s a little frustrated by how much these girls don’t know about being superheroes.”

Spider-Women #1 will debut in 2016.
