New album, new friends: Now just a few days after the release of her album, Revival, Selena Gomez is playing the “Newly Friend Game” with YouTube personality (and Gomez superfan) Lilly Singh.

To play the game, the girls answer questions about themselves, but first guess what the other one said before revealing their answers. Gomez, who has just met Singh for the first time, is as a significant disadvantage, as Singh whispers to the camera at the beginning of the video, “I know everything about her.”

When asked her favorite song from Revival, Gomez chooses “Kill ‘Em with Kindness” (Singh, too, picks that as the one she is most looking forward to), calling it “lyrically, one of the best songs.”

“I feel like this is one of your mantras to deal with a lot of stressful times in your life,” Singh observes, “and I feel like you’ve tweeted it twice.”

She’s right on both counts. “You have to wake up with yourself every morning, and people are going to give you their worst, and it’s so easy to be mean,” Gomez says. “I’m Latin; I can be mean, real fast, if I want. But I don’t feel good about myself, and I think people need to hear a message like this.”

When asked to choose their favorite Taylor Swift songs, Gomez can’t decide between “Bad Blood,” for which she appeared in the star-studded music video, and Swift’s most recent single, “Wildest Dreams.” Singh also names the latter as her favorite and then tries to sing it, in what we can only assume is her bid to be inducted into the squad.
