>Phil Collins is set to publish an autobiography next year with Penguin Random House. This will be the first book by the singer-songwriter. In a press release, Collins said he had been approached several times to write a book, but finally felt like the timing was right.

“Having found the right publisher in Penguin Random House I am ready to go on record about my life in music with all the highs and all the lows and to tell the story from my point of view – warts and all!” Collins said.

The book will be out October 2016, and Penguin House publishing director Ben Dunn said the early material was “simply breathtaking.”

Collins rose to fame as the drummer for Genesis, and later became known for his solo hits “In the Air Tonight,” and “Against All Odds.” His last album, Going Back, was released in 2010.
