David Bowie won’t be touring again — at least according to his booking agent, John Giddings, who told Music Week that the musician is “retired” from touring.

“David is one of the best artists I’ve ever worked with, but every time I see him now, before I even speak to him, he goes, ‘I’m not touring,’ and I say, ‘I’m not asking,'” Giddings said. “He has decided to retire and, like Phil Collins, you can’t demand these people go out there again and again and again.”

Although Bowie’s still recording music — he released “Sue (or in a Season of Crime)” in 2014 recently recorded a theme song for British television show The Last Panthers — he hasn’t taken his music on the road since 2003 and 2004’s Reality tour.
