Plus, a special episode titled 'Flash-Forward' will air Nov. 24
The Liars are returning sooner than you thought.
Though there still won’t be a Halloween episode of Pretty Little Liars for 2015, fans received a treat at New York Comic Con on Thursday when showrunner Marlene King revealed that a special episode titled “Flash-Forward” will air on Nov. 24.
Season 6B will return in earnest when it debuts Jan. 12 on the network that will, at that time, have been renamed Freeform. (R.I.P., ABC Family.)
When the new season premieres, we’ll meet up with the Liars five years in the future. “Flash-Forward” will offer fans some insight into “some of what happened off screen during those five years to these characters,” said King at NYCC.

As King previously revealed to EW, “The girls lived a free life for 5 years. They have not been tortured or tormented by this anonymous cyber bully. They’re taking yoga now, they’re breathing. They have more time for extracurricular activities because they’re not being chased by an anonymous stalker.”
So, everything should be just fine for them once the series returns, right? (Wrong.)
