Both members of Key & Peele have moved on since the end of their influential sketch comedy show. Jordan Peele is going into horror, and Keegan-Michael Key is chilling at his alma mater, Penn State.

Key, the Homecoming Grand Marshal for Penn State, decided to plan a surprise with football coach James Franklin. He donned Franklin’s usual attire, picked up a pair of specs, and ventured to lead the team meeting. “We’re gonna do a little dipsy-doodle, a little fliparoo on the players,” Key teases. Everyone went nuts.

“Guys, I don’t know why you’re acting like that! We got to settle down during this meeting here, okay?” he barks. Key has a player read a tongue-twisting fake quote of the day and also spouted the finest football cliches. He concluded by tossing his clicker in the air and walking out with high-fives. Success.

“Oh my god, it was amazing,” Key said right after. “I walked in, and I didn’t know how the guys would react, but these guys lost their minds, and gave me a ton of energy.” Maybe this will inspire some sheepish players to pursue competing in the East/West Bowl.
