Do you want to earn your master’s degree by following in the footsteps of David Lynch? There’s a course for that. Maharishi Universty of Management in Iowa has created a David Lynch MA in film, and yes — the year-long class will include instruction from the acclaimed filmmaker, during a class trip to Los Angeles.

The program is part of a university that was founded by Lynch’s real life medition mentor, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. According to the website, “The David Lynch Masters in Film program is the first and only Consciousness-Based film education available anywhere. Students learn about deep story and the entire process of filmmaking — from a real-world perspective — while developing their creative potential. The source of creativity within is directly accessed and experienced through daily individual and group practice of the Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique.” Applications for the 2016 school year are currently being accepted until Nov. 1.

The long-awaited revival of Lynch’s cult classic,Twin Peaks, will be coming to Showtime in 2017.
