The CW is placing its bets on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. In advance of its Oct. 12 premiere, the network has ordered five extra scripts for the musical comedy from co-creator and star Rachel Bloom. Five more scripts have also been ordered for iZombie, which is set to premiere its sophomore season on Tuesday.

Though the script orders are not necessarily guarantees that the corresponding episodes will be ordered and shot, the odds for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend‘s survival through the fall season are looking better and better. (You really should tune in — EW chose the freshman series as one of our fall TV best bets.)

iZombie was similarly well-received by fans and critics alike when it wrapped its 13-episode first season, and we’ve seen the season 2 premiere — it’s a must-watch.
