Did Seth Rogen take mushrooms with Wolf Blitzer at a party?

This question was posed on Friday night’s episode of The Tonight Show, as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and the actor portraying him in Steve Jobs joined Jimmy Fallon to play “True Confessions.”

“True Confessions” is an interrogation-based game in which two contestants have to determine whether a story told by the third contestant is is true. Having previously played the game with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, Fallon proved himself to be an expert interrogator and fired off questions about what song was playing at the time and who offered mushrooms to the news anchor.

Rogen showed off his acting skills, fairing well under scrutiny and dramatically saying, “I offered Wolf Blitzer the mushrooms.”

The Steve Jobs star was good enough to convince Wozniak, but Fallon was reluctant to believe his story.

“It’s Wolf Blitzer, he would never do that,” Fallon said. “But then again it’s Seth Rogen.”

Turns out it was a lie. Rogen never took mushrooms with Blitzer. “It was Ron Rifkin and I thought it was Wolf Blitzer,” Rogen joked.
