ABC orders Marvel Damage Control comedy pilot
Damage Control
- TV Show
Marvel keeps jumping genres and heads for a new one: comedy. ABC ordered a script and put-pilot for a half-hour single-cam sitcom tentatively titled Damage Control, EW learned.
The pilot answers a longstanding puzzling question: How does the world move on after New York and other metropolises are destroyed by intergalactic battles? There’s a cleanup crew that specializes in the very matter, returning weapons and making things right with affected parties.

Damage Control first appeared in the Marvel universe in the late 1980s. If it’s picked up to series, it will be the third ABC/Marvel series, joining Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter.
Ben Karlin (Modern Family) developed Marvel’s Damage Control. He, along with David Miner, and Marvel’s head of TV Jeph Loeb, will executive produce it.
