Popples: See the first trailer for '80s cartoon reboot
Popples
- TV Show
The craze for all things ’80s continues with Popples, a Netflix children’s series based on Saban Brands’ 1980s toy line and cartoon series. EW has an exclusive first look at the new show’s first trailer, which depicts Popple pals Bubbles, Sunny, Lulu, Izzy, and Yikes — colorful creatures who can pop into a ball and are prone to misadventures.
Popples made their U.S. debut in 1985 as a plush toy line, followed by a TV series based on the toys (think Transformers). The cartoon ran from 1986 to 1987.
