Judging by a brand-new poster, the Mockingjay looks more than ready to take flight.
Lead star Jennifer Lawrence shared the image of her character Katniss in full battle-ready gear on her Facebook page, along with the caption “Final Poster. Tickets on sale tomorrow!” and a tease to the film’s Nov. 20 release date.
The poster is the last in a push of promotional materials that have steadily been released since last spring, helping feed a frenzy that has helped the series generate more than $1.1 billion at the box office since the first Hunger Games film hit theaters in 2012.
The last installment in the franchise based on Suzanne Collins’ best-selling YA series tracks Katniss (Lawrence) as she leads a final effort to overthrow President Snow (Donald Sutherland.) And by the looks of the final poster, it looks like Katniss rises to the challenge — quite literally, since her brave character is pictured leaping mid-air with her signature bow and arrow in hand — in a way that reveals that she’s more than ready to lead District 13 in its assault against the Capitol.
Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson are reprising their characters in the film, which also features Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Willow Shields, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Stanley Tucci, Julianne Moore, and Natatalie Dormer. And if a peek at the film’s final poster has you fired up, then you’re in luck: tickets for Mockingjay – Part 2 become available at 12 p.m. ET on Oct. 1.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 will be released in theaters and IMAX on Nov. 20.
