Lorde’s voice matches Disclosure’s chilled-out dub beats so well, it’s incredible they hadn’t teamed up earlier. Luckily the artists go all-in on “Magnets,” their collaboration from Disclosure’s new album Caracal. The new music video stars Lorde as a seductive mistress cycling through a variety of magical outfits (from a White Witch-like gown to a shimmering full-body black leather trench coat) as her affair with a married man passes through parallel stages.

Watch the full video, which includes Lorde lighting a pool on fire (because she’s magic like that).

Disclosure brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence discussed the song with EW earlier this year and Howard said, “When Lorde came in, I had this idea about writing about the phrase ‘the point of no return,’ and originally that was going to be the name of the song. We didn’t know how we were going to use that, because that can be used in a lot of different ways—flying, or boating or whatever. [Lorde] came up with the idea of using it in the sense of if you’re attracted to someone you shouldn’t be for moral reasons, and then you tell them, then you’ve gone past the point of no return.” Makes sense when you see this vid.
