Katy Perry invites super excited fan on stage at Rock in Rio
Sometimes bringing an unsuspecting fan on stage can result in fun for the artist, participant, and audience. Such was the case when the Foo Fighters rocked out to Rush on stage with a talented audience member this summer, and when Bono performed with an impersonator in May.
And when Katy Perry welcomed a fan to the stage at Sunday’s Rock in Rio Festival in Brazil, the results were, uh, hilarious. The interaction started with Perry’s inability to understand the woman’s name, followed by some touching, and a not-so-great Portuguese lesson. The fan — who donned a black bra with smiley face patches — attempted to translate English phrases while taking selfies with Perry and bestowing kisses on the pop star’s cheek. She was truly ecstatic.
