There was a lot of pressure riding on Coldplay as the opening act at Saturday’s Global Citizen Festival in New York City’s Central Park, kicking off a lineup that included celebrities (Hugh Jackman, Stephen Colbert), political figures (First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden), and other music superstars (Pearl Jam, Beyoncé). But the band lived up to the challenge — in their five-song set, they managed to play hits like “Viva La Vida,” collaborate with Ariana Grande, and even debut a new song.

Singer Chris Martin said the track is called “Amazing Day” and is about “all the wonderful things that can happen on Earth when people work together.” In classic Coldplay fashion, the music slowly builds at a melancholy pace before reaching loud, wordless catharsis. In keeping with Global Citizen Festival’s mission, the performance was accompanied by beautiful visuals of nature from around the globe. Watch it above.

Coldplay previously announced that their next album will be called Head Full of Dreams. It’s probably a good bet to expect “Amazing Day” will be there.
