Chasing Life finale: Exclusive photos from the cast's trip to Rome

April Carver’s life has never been busier: She’s in the middle of a clinical trial, her book is going to be published, her best friend is pregnant, and her father’s book is potentially also being published. So what does she do? She goes to Rome, obviously.

In some exclusive images from the Chasing Life finale, April, Dom, and Beth head to Rome. “She’s always wanted to go to Rome,” star Italia Ricci tells EW. “She had plans to go for the honeymoon with Leo, so she has tickets to go to Rome and she’s trying to figure out how her memoir is going to end. What’s she doing now? She’s only written up to this point, [so] she needs to decide what she’s going to do with the rest of her life. She needs some inspiration, so we got on a plane and went to Rome.”

Unlike many shows that “travel,” the cast of Chasing Life actually got to head to Rome to shoot for an entire week. For Ricci, it was basically her first time in the city, because the last time she went, “I was 5 but I had the chicken pox so that didn’t really count,” she said with a laugh.

And as it turned out, the food wasn’t the only amazing thing about Rome. “I got recognized more by little sweet Italian fans in six days than I’ve ever been recognized in L.A. in six years,” Ricci said.
