Amy Schumer confirms memoir will debut next year
Amy Schumer’s book title and publishing house has officially been confirmed. The newly-minted Emmy Winner announced Wednesday night that her memoir would debut in late 2016 with Gallery Books.
Gallery told the Associated Press that the book will “offer personal and observational stories from Schumer that range from the raunchy to the romantic, the heartfelt to the harrowing.”
“Believe it or not, there’s actually more I have to say,” Schumer said in a statement. She also tweeted about the project.
Earlier this week, EW learned about the book deal and reported that the winning bid fell between $8-10 million. Schumer’s agent, David Kuhn, had been circulating the proposal across Manhattan publishing houses, and editors had to first offer a bid upfront to get a meeting with Schumer. According to sources, the book’s working title is The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo.
Schumer’s coming off a stellar year that included Trainwreck‘s release and an Emmy win for her hit show Inside Amy Schumer. Watch her speech for the latter life event below.
