Bill Griffith, the cartoonist who brought you Zippy the Pinhead, turns his eye and his pen inward in a new graphic memoir. In Invisible Ink: My Mother’s Love Affair with a Famous Cartoonist, Griffith delves into his mother’s mysterious, secretive past, which, as the title suggests, included an affair with a famous cartoonist and crime novelist.
