Emmys 2015: 'Celebrity Apprentice' EP on replacing Donald Trump
In the wake of Arnold Schwarzenegger replacing Donald Trump as host of Celebrity Apprentice, executive producer Mark Burnett addressed the big elephant at the room at the Emmys: What will the Terminator star use as his soon-to-be signature catchphrase?
“You’re terminated,” Burnett joked to press backstage after The Voice won for Outstanding Reality Competition Program, though didn’t exactly confirm that’s what Schwarzenegger will be using.
“Celebrity Apprentice is a great, great franchise worldwide and clearly a change had to be made, and we’re so grateful that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has taken over. Everybody’s speculating what his line will be when he fires people, but he’s a lot of fun. He loves the show and he’s really really engaged in a huge way already.”

Schwarzenegger will take over for Trump as “CEO” in the 2016-17 season. NBC severed its business ties with Trump back in June after he announced his presidential run and, more problematically, made controversial comments about Mexican immigrants. Last week, NBC and Trump settled their legal disputes, paving the way for Trump to make a ratings-boosting appearance on The Tonight Show.
