Join or Die with Craig Ferguson

Craig Ferguson is heading back to television with a new series on the History Channel, the network announced Thursday.

The network gave Join or Die with Craig Ferguson the green light, ordering up 16 episodes of the half-hour show featuring the former Late Late Show host debating the latest hot topics in politics, history, and the like, with the help of a panel of guests. Ferguson will welcome celebrities and history experts, as well as the public via social media. (Fun fact: Ferguson had Benjamin Franklin‘s famous “Join or Die” cartoon tattooed on his arm after receiving his American citizenship.)

“I’m a huge fan of History and what they do,” Ferguson said in a release. “I’m delighted to be on their schedule and promise that we will have a lot of fun but we will also stick to the truth.”

Beyond the debates, Join or Die will feature digital pieces, as well. The series comes from Comedy Dynamics and Green Mountain West, in association with Lionsgate TV. There is no release date available at this time.
