Get ready to be terrified of whales. Or, at least, a certain ship-destroying whale that you’ll see in this new trailer for Ron Howard’s In The Heart of the Sea.

Based upon the real life saga and adapted from Nathaniel Philbrick’s 2000 National Book Award winner, In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex, Chris Hemsworth stars as 19th-century seaman Owen Chase, a first mate aboard the whaling ship Essex. Chase and his crew — played by Cillian Murphy, Benjamin Walker, and Tom Holland (soon to be our new Spider-Man) — must attempt to survive in nearly impossible conditions after a seemingly very large whale wrecks their ship in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. (It is the story thought to have inspired Moby Dick.)

In this trailer you’ll also be able to see the results of the extreme diets the actors were put on, eating only 500 calories a day. “All of us kind of went insane weighing ourselves like a bunch of supermodels,” Hemsworth told EW

In the Heart of the Sea comes out Dec. 11. Watch the new trailer below.
