It’s hard to beat opening for Madonna on her Rebel Heart Tour, but Amy Schumer may have done just that.

On Wednesday night’s tour stop at Madison Square Garden — the first of two stops at the venue and the first of three shows that the comedian will open — Schumer announced that she’s also headlining the famed New York venue next summer.

The comedian, who recently dominated the box office with Trainwreck, will headline on June 23, the venue confirmed on Twitter. Tickets go on sale on Thursday at noon.

During Wednesday night’s MSG set, Schumer gushed about the venue and the Rebel Heart musician. “Oh my god this is amazing. I thought nobody would be here. This is awesome,” she said. “Who better to open for Madonna than me? Literally any band. … I’ve loved Madonna literally forever.“

And she proved it with home video footage; earlier in the day, she posted an adorable Instagram video featuring her childhood self belting Madonna’s “Like A Prayer.”

“This is so much more fun than I imagined!” Schumer said during her R-rated set Wednesday. “I thought I was just going to eat s—! I’m really trying to feel this moment. I grew up here! I shot a movie scene here.”

Following the success of Trainwreck, Schumer is reportedly working with pal and Billy Joel concert buddy Jennifer Lawrence on a comedy screenplay in which they will play sisters.
