Ariana Grande debuts new perfume, apologizes for Donutgate (again)
Pop superstar Ariana Grande stopped by Good Morning America Tuesday morning to debut her new “passion project,” Ari by Ariana Grande, a perfume that’s “sweet and yummy” and will smell like marshmallows and raspberries. She named it such because, as she said in her interview, “its my fragrance.”
But before introducing the product, she took some time to speak about what the Internet deemed “DonutGate,” the scandal that occurred when a video of Grande licking donuts on various trays in a donut shop, saying things like, “What the f–k is that? I hate Americans! I hate America!” leaked two months ago.
Host Laura Spencer gave Grande, who previously issued a video apology, another platform to comment and asked the singer what she’s learned from the incident, how she’s grown, and if she has anything else to say to the “many viewers who were offended” by Grande’s comments and actions. Her interview is streaming below.
