If Ryan Hollweg isn’t already a household name, he could be for a 24-hour news cycle.

The American-born hockey player plies his trade in the Czech league for HC Škoda Plzeň, and though he hasn’t been the most prolific player in this three years abroad, this performance could very well be his career highlight.

After a triumphant 5-1 rivalry victory, Hollweg skated around the ice with an electric six-string strapped around his shoulder and a microphone headset, and performed the Tom Petty classic “Free Fallin.'” He missed some chords, even hummed through some of the lyrics, but it doesn’t matter. The crowd of ČEZ Aréna went nuts.
