SPOILERS for the season 12 finale of So You Think You Can Dance are ahead. Do not read any further unless you want to know who took home the title of America’s Favorite Dancer on Monday’s show.

After 17 weeks, one 10th anniversary special, countless Cat Deeley dresses, tWitch’s infamous Magic Mike promo (you remember), and an Emmy for Travis Wall, So You Think You Can Dance has crowned its latest champion — and taken a stand in the battle between Stage and Street for the first time (unless you count everything Nigel has ever said). So who took the title of America’s Favorite Dancer in season 12? The winner is …

Gaby Diaz (Team Stage)!

The first tapper ever to win SYTYCD, Gaby takes the title for Team Stage and wins the opportunity to dance in J. Lo’s Vegas show. She may have been rejected in her first audition, but Gaby hasn’t made a misstep since, and her versatility won over both the judges and America. Jaja landed in second as Team Street’s winner, followed by Virgil on Team Street and Hailee on Team Stage. Are you happy with the results? Share your thoughts, and check back later for our full recap of the finale.
