Saturday Night Live‘s Pete Davidson tweeted a remembrance Friday morning for his father, New York firefighter Scott Davidson, who was killed on 9/11.

The show’s featured player was 7 when his father’s unit went to the Marriott World Trade Center Hotel, which was destroyed when the Twin Towers collapsed. In tribute, the comedian first tweeted a photo of the pair along with a crude joke, before following up with a heartfelt collection of photos of him and Scott, one of which shows a young Pete wearing his father’s firefighter jacket:

He also Instagrammed the photos, captioning one with this message: “Can’t believe it’s been 14 years. Over 2/3 of my life without you. It feels like it was just yesterday. There’s not a day that goes by where I don’t think of you. You’re my hero. Can’t wait to see you again someday. RIP dad 1/4/68-9/11/01 #neverforget.”
