The X-Files premiere to screen at New York Comic Con
- TV Show
The latest X-File? The show’s premiere date.
By its Jan. 24 debut, Fox’s six-episode X-Files event series will be as well traveled as Mulder and Scully. The first episode, “My Struggle,” will make its world premiere in Cannes on Oct. 6, followed by its U.S. premiere at New York Comic Con on Oct. 10. The network anounced the screenings on Thursday, the series’ 22nd anniversary.
Series creator and executive producer Chris Carter will unveil the first episode at the Grand Auditorium of the Palais des Festivals at MIPCOM in Cannes, France. Four days later, Fox will bring the episode to the Main Stage of the Javits Center at New York Comic Con, followed by a Q&A with Carter, who wrote and directed the hour, and series star David Duchovny. The Q&A will be moderated by Silicon Valley star and X-Files superfan Kumail Nanjiani, who, in addition to hosting the X-Files Files podcast, will also guest star in the upcoming season.
With any luck, Nanjiani and Duchovny might even recreate this photo.
