When you’re Bane, and Mad Max (and bettors’ favorite for the next James Bond), it’s easy to brush off less-than-flattering photos from your past.

While promoting his new film Legend, Tom Hardy weighed in on the old (and slightly cringeworthy) photos from his now-deleted MySpace page that are still lurking around online.

“I’ve got no shame about my MySpace photos, especially the one of me in my underpants which is a glorious photo of a man in his natural habitat,” Hardy told Britain’s Sky News this week.

“I might not be an Adonis but I like to think of myself as an Adonis in that photo,” he added.

These days, Hardy has been taking much more Adonis-like photos — including ones with his dog, Woody, at the recent Legend premiere in London.

Legend opens in theaters on Oct. 2.
