Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens

  • Movie

The cast of Star Wars: The Force Awakens could have included a hip-hop star. Kid Cudi, best known for his Man On The Moon trilogy albums, revealed on Twitter that he auditioned for a part in J.J. Abrams’ film.

After Cudi tweeted about Kylo Ren, Adam Driver’s villain in the new film, one of his followers wrote back, “You really should have a role in a ‘Star Wars’ film. I can picture it so perfectly.” Cudi then responded that he had actually tried out for the film.

Though he’s known mostly as a musician, Cudi has appeared in several acting roles under his given name Scott Mescudi. His notable credits include HBO’s How to Make It In America, the Entourage movie, and the 2013 movie, Need For Speed.

He’s currently working on his fifth album, Speedin’ Bullet to Heaven, and dropped its first single “Confused,” last month.
