- TV Show
Another veteran British actor has joined HBO’s Game of Thrones. Richard E. Grant has signed onto season 6, EW confirmed. The actor has recently appeared in HBO’s Girls, BBC’s Downton Abbey and Doctor Who. There are no details yet as to Grant’s role.
As EW previously exclusively reported, former HBO star Ian McShane (in another Thrones mystery role) and silver screen legend Max von Sydow (in a re-casting of the Three-Eyed Raven) have also joined season 6 of the fantasy hit. We also broke that Freddie Stroma (UnREAL) was coming on board as Dickon Tarly (Samwell’s brother). Also Pilou Asbæk has been cast as Euron Greyjoy (Theon’s uncle).
Thrones returns next spring.
