Wall-E, The Martian mashup transforms Pixar robot into Mark Watn-E

Pixar’s lovable robot is stranded on Mars in a new mashup of WALL-Eand Ridley Scott’s upcoming film The Martian.

In The Martian, Matt Damon portrays Mark Watney, an astronaut who gets left behind on a mission to the Red Planet after a freak storm leads his crew to believe he’s dead. Through some supreme editing skills, this story blends seamlessly with footage from 2008’s WALL-E.

To further drive home the two films’ harmony, the user placed his mashup video side-by-side with The Martian trailer.

The Martian will hit theaters on Oct. 2.
