Castle season 8: Kelly Rowan cast in guest-starring role

The O.C. alum Kelly Rowan has booked a guest-starring on Castle, EW has learned exclusively.

Rowan, best known as the Cohen matriarch, will play Carla Feller, the dean of a prestigious university hit hard by the mysterious death of one of its students.

The Perception actress, who will appear in an episode slated for early October, joins season 8 additions Toks Olagundoye, Sunkrish Bala, Jack Coleman and Adam Baldwin, among others.

Castle returns Monday, Sept. 21 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
