It seems that Luke Cage just will not be able to catch a break when the Marvel hero hits Netflix, as another foe has been found to make life difficult for the Power Man.

House of Cards and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay star Mahershala Ali has been cast in the part of Cornell Stokes, aka Cottonmouth. In the world of Netflix and Marvel’s Luke Cage, Stokes owns a nightclub in Harlem and his illegal operation will bring trouble to Cage’s world.

The Marvel comics universe actually has two Cottonmouths, one named Burchell Clemens, a member of the Serpent Society who has been more commonly associated with heroes like Captain America, though he has sparred with Luke Cage. The other is Cornell Cottonmouth, known for his super strength and sharp teeth, who is more intrinsically connected to Cage’s story in the comics.

Cottonmouth isn’t the only foe who will stand in Cage’s way when the Netflix series debuts in 2016. Theo Rossi has recently been cast as Shades, while Alfre Woodward will also have a major villainous role.

Mike Colter stars as Luke Cage, but will make his debut in the second Marvel/Netflix series, Jessica Jones, which will hit Netflix later this year.
