Justin Bieber: Where Are U Now country ballad performed for Jimmy Fallon
Justin Bieber was a guest on Wednesday’s version of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and in addition explaining why he cried after performing at the MTV Video Music Awards, Bieber also sang a country version of “Where Are U Now.”
After Bieber and Fallon discussed the production work Skrillex did on the song — which, as Fallon noted, took Bieber’s voice and “digitally destroyed it” — Fallon revealed that Bieber rehearsed for his Tonight Show appearance by adding a twang to the hit track. The 21-year-old singer then obliged Fallon’s request, and performed the alternate version of “Where Are U Now” for the audience. “I just get in the mood,” Bieber said of why he likes giving the song that kind of spin.
Bieber didn’t just play “Where Are U Now” for Fallon; he also performed his new single “What Do You Mean?” — with some help from the Roots — for the host. Check it out below.
