Actress Salma Hayek appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday night to promote her animated film The Prophet and to celebrate her birthday.

In addition to having cake and trying to break open a piñata, Hayek recounted that one of the best birthday gifts she received was from her Desperado costar Antonio Banderas.

“I had fallen in love with these two monkeys that were supposed to be in the movie and then they got cut out,” Hayek told Kimmel. So, Bandera gifted her both monkeys, named Mariachi and Catalina.

“Mariachi was so nice to me. He was kind of in love with me,” said Hayek. “Catalina was jealous. That witch was awful to me. She was so possessive ... So we had a little bit of a triangle.”
