Kanye West ended his acceptance speech for the Video Vanguard Award at this year’s Video Music Awards on a confident note: “As you probably could’ve guessed by this moment, I have decided, in 2020, to run for president.” And now, Arrow star Stephen Amell is playing along.

The Canadian actor tweeted Monday, “If Kanye runs for President, I’ll run for Prime Minister of Canada.” He’d better get cracking on his campaign — the Canadian government will be holding a federal election in October which will decide the next Prime Minister. Stephen Harper has held the title since 2006, however, so Amell can hope to look forward to as lengthy a term if he decides to hang up his Arrow hood and pursue a career in Canadian parliament.

See Amell’s tweet below, and watch him on Arrow when the show returns Oct. 7 to The CW.
