Justin Bieber is officially on the comeback campaign trail.

His latest single, “What Do You Mean,” was well-received even by Bieber cynics, and he’ll perform it live at the MTV VMAs on Sunday. To promote the single, the performance, and the comeback at large, Bieber took to Instagram to remind people that he’s actually kind of fun.

In a short video, the pop star travels through the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and takes stock of some of the big-name seating assignments, including John Legend, Kanye West, and Britney Spears. “Britney, I’m back!” he tells her piece of paper, before bestowing a “Spider-Man kiss” unto it.
