Well, that was fast.

On Saturday, an Instagram account named @Hovsince96 was created and believed to belong to none other than Jay Z himself. The account posted only a single photo of the rapper and Michael Jackson with the caption: “Happy Birthday to the King! This may be my first and last post.” (Saturday was the late Jackson’s birthday.)

Even more mysteriously, the account disappeared in just a few hours after gaining more than 100,000 followers.

As to whether or not the account actually belonged to Jay Z, music executive Michael Kyser (who happens to be one of Jay’s friends) posted a ‘gram of the rapper, captioning it: “Follow my brother @Hovsince96 ASAP!”

A rep for Jay Z didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment from EW.
