It looks like there’s a new partnership in Hollywood, and it’s between Seth Rogen and Miley Cyrus.

Not only will Cyrus appear in Rogen’s upcoming film, The Night Before, but EW can exclusively reveal that Cyrus will serve as the headliner at Hilarity for Charity’s Fourth Annual Variety Show: James Franco’s Bar Mitzvah.

Hilarity for Charity is a movement led by Rogen and his wife, Lauren Miller Rogen, and established with the Alzheimer’s Association to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s among the millennial generation, as well as raise money for families struggling with Alzheimer’s care and help fund research. And for this year’s show, which will take place on Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, Cyrus will be on hand to perform several songs.

Cyrus joins a list of previous variety show guests that include The Backstreet Boys, Bruno Mars, Judd Apatow, Samuel L. Jackson, Paul Rudd, and more.

Additionally, Rogen and Cyrus have partnered on another project: Cyrus worked with Rogen and his writing partner Evan Goldberg to conceptualize and write the pre-taped packages that will air during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, which Cyrus is hosting this Sunday, Aug. 30.

This really could be the start of a beautiful (and unexpected) friendship.
