With the premiere just weeks away, Dancing With the Stars has announced its very first star.

Bindi Irwin is set to join the ABC reality competition’s 21st season, the network announced Monday.

“I am unbelievably thrilled and truly blessed to be in the City of Angels to be part of this season of Dancing With The Stars,” said the 17-year-old animal rights advocate in a statement on the series’ Facebook page. “This will be a completely new adventure for me and I’m excited to share my journey. Life is about daring to dream, I’m in love with this city and ready to fall in love with the music and dance to come.”

Bindi will join a roster of returning pros including Derek Hough, Karina Smirnoff, Val Chmerkovskiy, and more. The full list of stars heading to DWTS will be announced Sept. 2 on Good Morning America, and the new season debuts Sept. 14 on ABC.
