Keke Palmer has been busy working on the debut season of Fox’s Scream Queens, but the actress is also gearing up to release a new album, her first since 2007’s So Uncool.

Palmer’s rep confirmed to EW that Palmer signed a new deal with Island Records, her first single from the forthcoming collection will be out this fall, and she’ll host Island Life’s all-star concert in New York on Sept. 8 with featured Island artists Shawn Mendes, Timeflies, Kiesza, and Scream Queens co-star Nick Jonas.

In Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens, Palmer, 21 will play Zayday, a sorority sister with a genius IQ. She’ll also star in Fox’s upcoming Grease: Live as Marty, one of the Pink Ladies originally portrayed by Dinah Manoff in the film. She’s previously appeared in CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story and Broadway’s Cinderella.
