Morgan Freeman on Madam Secretary: Will guest-star in season 2 premiere
- TV Show
The Madam Secretary producers scored a big-time Oscar winner for the drama’s second season premiere episode — and they didn’t have to go any farther than their own soundstage to find him.
EW has learned exclusively that Morgan Freeman, who serves as an executive producer and director on the CBS drama, will make a cameo in the drama’s premiere episode in October.
Details of his appearance are being kept under wraps but EW has learned that Morgan will play a Supreme Court Justice. He will be in a scene with star Téa Leoni, who plays Elizabeth McCord.
As previously reported, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright will also appear on the show in the new season, which begins with a bang: Air Force One goes missing.
The second season of Madam Secretary premieres Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
