From one muscular male to another: Thor screenwriter Christopher Yost was enlisted to rewrite Sony’s Masters of the Universe, his reps confirmed to EW.

In addition to writing Thor: The Dark World and the forthcoming Thor: Ragnarok, Yost is credited with a slew of animated comic-book show writing credits, including Iron Man: Armored Adventures.

Masters of the Universe was a 1987 live-action movie with Dolph Lundgren as He-Man and Frank Langella his nemesis, Skeletor. In the Masters of Universe canon, He-Man is the alter-ego of Prince Adam of Eternia. The Lundgren-led version was panned among critics and failed at the box office.

Variety first reported Yost’s involvement.
