Tracy Morgan’s making his comeback: The comedian, who was critically injured after a June 2014 car accident, is set to host the third show of Saturday Night Live‘s upcoming season on Oct. 17.

Morgan was a cast member on SNL from 1996 to 2003 and returned to host in 2009. He’s appeared on talk shows a few times since the accident to discuss his recovery, but this will be the first time he’s publicly returned to comedy since then.

Miley Cyrus — who’s hosting this year’s MTV Video Music Awards — will helm the season’s first episode, on Oct. 3, marking her third time as host, while Amy Schumer will make her SNL hosting debut in the second week, on Oct. 10.

See the tweets below for the exact dates as well as celebratory posts from Schumer and Morgan.
